A native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, Doris has lived in Georgia for the past 37 years with her husband, who is an educator in Cobb County. They have one son who is married and who is an educator at a Paulding County high school. Before moving to Georgia, Doris spent 16 years as a nuclear inspector. Here in Georgia, she owned her own business for 15 years and then went into the corporate world as a national corporate trainer for a division of radio shack, and spent 18+ years in this field. Doris became the mayor of Hiram, GA is 2012 and served a four-year term. During her time as an elected official, she was introduced to CASA and became involved with the organization, serving on the board of directors for seven years. Doris also worked for the Paulding County Chamber of Commerce and Shepherd's Rest Ministries, the home for battered women and children in Paulding County. Serving the community is in her heart.
